(A) Letters from Thomas Shaw in the Melbourne Weekly Economist, 29 August, 17 October, 24 October; an additional letter by Henry Bingham from the Economist, 24 October; and letters from Robert McDougall and Charles Macknight from the Economist, 31 October 1862. (B) Also included is a letter which appeared in the Melbourne Morning Herald, 1 August 1849, signed Ignoramus, and concerning Thomas Shaw.
